The Hangar

Our eldest son, Matthew, demolished the corrugated-iron side walls of this open barn or hangar for us. This was a difficult, heavy, and rather dangerous job. We couldn't move the hay wain, which is partly concealed here by the small willow, without a tractor (and it had a flat tyre).

Our decsion on what to do with it was taken out of our hands by the great storm of New Year 2000, when it nearly blew down. Now it is gone, and the hay wain was carried away by a grateful scrap metal dealer who turned up one lunchtime.

These were the best "water" photos I had. I hope to have enough time to put some more here soon.
